Subject: She sneaked out...

Hi:

This is Kate writing from Rose's account. She died this afternoon at
3:15PM. Brian was with her. Her brother Hugh and I were making
preparations at the local funderal home at the time.

Mom left the following mail draft as well as a list of all the people she
wanted it sent to (and who are receiving this message now). She wrote this
April 27, 2002:

This is to inform you that Rose Mulvale has died. She didn't lose her
"battle with cancer"; she won (after living well with it, she left - and
took it with her...) Please pass this information on.

Regards,

Kate

This makes me laugh - she even added my saluatation (if that's what it's
called at the end of a correspondence - I know it is at the beginning!).
The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Visitation to be held Monday, Oct. 21 from 2-4:00 PM and 7-9:00 PM at the
Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, 398 Main St., Middleton, NS B0S 1P0. Phone:
(902) 825-3448. (No URL, no e-mail address.)

Memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Roop's.
Reception to follow at Roop's.

She asked that, in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation to
please do so to one of the following charities:

Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, www.guidedogs. ca
or
The Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra (sorry, I was unable to find a URL for them
quickly with a Google search - I'll try and find out more contact info).

If you could be so kind as to include a mailing addredss, it would make it
easier for the family to gratefully aknowledge your gift. My brother's name
is Terry Mulvale, his wife is calledVeronica.

Thank you all so much for your love and support over the past little while.
It has meant the world to us.

-Kate

I completely agree.

I still treasure a book she sent me as well as a calendar with 12
photos she took.
