[Excerpted from MM's secret diary]
Dear Diary,
Quiz night at the pub and I got a really tough question:
What is the English translation of the line of Catullus poem, "Odi et
amo. Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris?"
I had no idea, so I used the clues in the sentence. However, it turned
out the correct answer was, "I hate and I love. Why do I do it,
perchance you might ask?" and not, "I hate you and I love you. You have
a square face in your ID photo, and is a strong ass required?"
Live and learn.
