[Excerpted from MM's secret diary]

Dear Diary,

Yesterday in Church, after the Service, Mrs. MM and I were chatting
with a group of parishioners and the Pastor's wife said something like,
"I love wood, and have several wooden little sculptures."

I commented, "I have a wooden sculpture, bit it's not small and it's
built-in. I call it Woody."

There were gasps all around. I wonder what amazes people more, my
knowledge of English or my frank honesty.

Still, Mrs. MM has not spoken to me since.

Typical.

MM

In fairness to Mrs. MM, that could have been hard for her to take.
